The first flight of the DC - 8 series was on May 30, 1958. She was the first jet aircraft of Douglas .
There were different versions that -30er series was designed for intercontinental traffic .

It was rebuilt several times and also unnamed. Her first name was a DC - 8-32 " Virgin " ( a mountain in Switzerland ) , then as a DC - 8-33 " Basel-Stadt ( the pictured version ) and finally as a DC - 8-53 " Geneva " .
In February 1976 she was at the S.A.T.A. sold.
