Tin box for sweets by the company DELSER in Udine (IT). Playable with wind-up spring motor. Roof is the lid.
Produced in the 1930s by PASSERO. Only a few specimens are known (1 pc. in Rampini's book (IT), 1 pc. was 2009 auctioned at Bertoia's (United States) -if it is not ultimately the one in the Rampini's bible (Alfa model Bible for older models), and last but not least my item. One can read that these models (boxes with content) were so expensive, that only wealthy people bought them. And their children played them in the sand pits to death. Together with several other Passero models, these were therefore no commercial success and remained rare from the very beginning.
