TZA-7.5-500 was intended for mechanized refueling of aircraft with aviation fuel at airfields with a hard surface, as well as for refueling ground equipment and transporting fuel.
It was used together with the tank trailer PC-6.7. It was widely used (and is being used) at the airfields of fighter and attack aircraft.
Produced from 1964 to 1994 at the Tikhoretsk chemical engineering plant "Red Hammer" (Tikhoretsk).
Base chassis - MAZ-500 (MAZ-5334).
Development based on the MAZ-5335 chassis - MAZ-5334 truck. A more modern truck from the late 70s of the last century. Description of appearance, changes in comparison with the previous version. Features of the three most popular modifications, their technical characteristics and destinations.
HISTORY OF THE Truck MAZ-5334
In step with world progress in 1977, the production of a new MAZ-5334 truck begins. The model was developed on the basis of MAZ-5335. As always, in the rapidly growing republics of the Soviet Union, the need for cargo transportation increased. Along with this, the requirements for transporters also grew. In addition, in connection with the industrialization of cities, more modern cars were required to service them.
In order to solve this issue, this heavyweight was developed. A feature of this MAZ is the ability to install various modular superstructures, structures and bodies for various purposes. Also, the technical characteristics have become more superior than that of previous versions of cars. Along with the carrying capacity, the traction power also increased, and progression is also observed in maneuverability and speed.
APPEARANCE AND INTERIOR MAZ-5334
Due to its rounded shape, the cabin has good aerodynamic properties for a car from the 70s. It was decided to place the headlights on the bumper instead of the body. Plafonds of the main light are now much larger than the overall ones. A false radiator grille was placed in front of the radiator, the design of which ensured the supply of the required volume of air. Such solutions have simplified the laying of power cables and improved the strength of the body. And, of course, a beam of light began to illuminate the road more rationally. Changes in the radiator grille have increased the efficiency of the system
The windshield consists of two sections, between them there is a vertical metal partition. This adds safety to the car and reduces the cost of repairs. This became possible due to the fact that if one part is damaged, the second remains intact. Otherwise, there were no significant changes compared to previous models. Some elements have slightly changed their positioning or appearance, which does not affect the overall picture. The interior has also become more modern and equipped. The steering wheel is located almost vertically at an angle of about 20 degrees. The work of the suspension is supplemented by the shock-absorbing system of the driver's seat. Thanks to this, even when driving on roads where even the springs cannot cope, the driver's shaking is reduced to a minimum. The dashboard is equipped with all the necessary sensors, including speed control sensors, engine systems and its temperatures, as well as pressure sensors in existing systems. All measuring sensors are illuminated.
The most interesting is the presence of roll, tension and boom position sensors. The system also has a built-in weight limiter.
At the top of the dashboard there is a space between the slope and the glass. This place can serve as an excellent warehouse for various things: from the personal belongings of the driver, to small parts or tools.
SPECIFICATIONS
The mechanical filling was traditionally produced at the Yaroslavl Machine-Building Plant. For MAZ-5334, two whole propulsion units were designed - YaMZ-236 and YaMZ-238. During the period from 1961 to 1965, a sufficient number of engines were produced for future trucks. YaMZ still continues to produce first-class engines for the equipment of the Minsk Automobile Building Plant.
Given the heavy load on the gearbox, the developers took care of the presence of synchro, which made it more efficient and durable. In the clutch basket, the disc had peripheral springs to disconnect the gearbox from the engine for short periods.
Characteristics of the crane boom.
The boom is built with telescopic sections that extend to a decent distance. Hydraulics is made to last, continues to serve to this day, and in return requires only proper care.
In recent years, a crane of the SMK-101A type was installed on the chassis. The drive was electric, and the boom was non-retractable.
The basic model MAZ-5334 could be converted into many modifications:
Automobile cranes;
Fuel tanks and tankers;
Dump trucks;
Tractors;
Drilling rigs;
Concrete trucks;
Emergency and rescue workshops;
Insulated kungs for transporting people.
Truck crane.
The main representative of modifications from MAZ-5334 is a truck crane. To fix the vehicle, four swivel-type hydraulic supports are integrated into the frame. And the frame itself was located on a torsion bar suspension. The boom was of a retractable type, but the factory also installed non-retractable ones. It is considered convenient that the crane control is located not on the frame, but in a special cabin. This version of the truck is no less known as "Ivanovets".
Tanker.
No less popular was the modification with a tank for transporting liquid fuel - the MAZ tanker fuel truck. The system included the following elements: a tank, pumps, filters, a pipeline system with special hoses, sensors for measuring the operation of the system. It is the presence of a pistol that allows not only to transport fuel, but also to use the MAZ-5334 as a tanker. Pumps can be used for pumping liquids without using a container. A special model ACM-8-5334 was used for the transportation of oil products (ATsM - Auto Tank Truck-Mazutovoz). Also, on the same base in the Tikhoretsk Machine-Building Plant, a modification of the TZA-7.5-5334 was created for the needs of the army's automobile battalions. The flattened shape of this tanker's tank was designed to fit the truck into the cargo holds of army transport aircraft.
Drilling rig.
The third version of the most popular is the MAZ-5334 drilling rig. Modules and equipment for this model were designed and manufactured at the Izhmashstanko plant in Bryankov. Together with this equipment on board, specialists could make wells up to 500 meters deep. Among the drivers, the MAZ-5334 used for drilling purposes was called "Mazay".
The conveyors of the Minsk Automobile Building Plant produced the 5334 model and its modifications until the mid-90s. High-quality exhibits became leaders in production, at one time setting records and helping to achieve their goals. Now these trucks are still working at enterprises throughout the post-Soviet space.
