The Audi A4 Avant B7 represents the fourth generation of Audi's popular midsize car series, built from 2004 to 2008. Unlike its predecessor, the Audi A4 B6, the B7 not only underwent a facelift but also significant technical upgrades. The structural changes of the car were realized by design chief Walter de Silva and the technical team led by engineer Michael Dick. Audi equipped the B7 with modern features such as a new multimedia system and advanced driver assistance systems. These innovations required a significant overhaul of the vehicle's electronics.
The Audi A4 Avant B7 offered a range of different engines, from 1.6-liter petrol engines to 4.2-liter V8 engines. Particularly noteworthy was the 2.0 TFSI engine, which perfectly combined power and efficiency. Power was transmitted either through a six-speed manual gearbox or optionally through the stepless Multitronic transmission. For better grip and stability, especially in wet or slippery road conditions, the Quattro all-wheel drive was a popular feature in this model series. Safety was also a priority, as the B7 featured state-of-the-art systems like ESP, numerous airbags, and active head restraints.
Upon closer inspection of the model, it becomes evident that this is a modified 1/18 scale miniature car manufactured by Minichamps. Minichamps model cars are known for their precise replication and attention to detail. However, this specific model has been extensively customized by its collector, deviating from the originally produced stock model. The extensive modifications include a striking body design with special paintwork and sporty accents. The wheels also seem to have received an upgrade. Unfortunately, it's not entirely clear which manufacturer and model they are, details that collectors typically like to investigate further.
The standout paint scheme of the model showcases an interesting combination of red and blue tones that significantly alter the overall model concept. The Audi-typical grille and the shape of the LED headlights have been faithfully reproduced. Another eye-catching feature of the model is the "www.lilisred.de" lettering on the windshield, signaling the collection of Modelly member "Lilisred." This personalized adjustment gives the model a unique touch that sets it apart among model car enthusiasts. The realistic, sometimes reflective surfaces and meticulously crafted details make this model a sought-after collector's item. Unfortunately, even with such high-quality models, it's not always clear if individual parts have been upgraded by well-known tuning companies like ABT Sportsline or MTM.
