The Lancia New Stratos is a supercar developed by Manifattura Automobili Torino in collaboration with Michael Stoschek as a tribute to the iconic Lancia Stratos from the 1970s. The original Lancia New Stratos was unveiled in 2010 and is essentially a modernized version of the legendary rally car. The original Stratos, produced from 1973, was famous for its short overhangs, the striking wedge design by designer Marcello Gandini, and of course, its incredible rally performance that brought it multiple wins in the WRC series. The new version focused on the same sporty and aerodynamic characteristics, but with a modern carbon fiber body and advanced chassis.
The Lancia New Stratos is equipped with a 4.3-liter V8 engine sourced from Ferrari, delivering around 540 horsepower. This results in an impressive acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in just 3.3 seconds and a top speed of over 270 km/h (168 mph). One of the remarkable technical features of the New Stratos is its carbon fiber monocoque chassis, providing superior rigidity and light weight. The excellent balance and mid-engine layout of the car also contribute to its exceptional driving dynamics. The sound of the V8 engine and the sporty setup of the entire vehicle make the New Stratos a true driving experience like no other.
