The G-series of Mercedes (G = terrain) is arguably one of the most popular SUV range (next Land Rover).
The series will be built from 1979 in almost unchanged form. In 1972, the idea of developing an all-terrain vehicle and sturdy built. One of the initiators was the then Shah of Persia (Iran today) Mohammad Reza Palevi, the 18% of the shares belonged to Mercedes. The car was intended as a patrol vehicle and hunting car.
In cooperation with the vehicle manufacturer Puch in Graz (Austria) today produced the versatile and popular ATVs.
The engines range from "small" 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 75 hp up to powerful, built by the tuning specialist Brabus V12 Biturbo with 800 hp !!!
The model shown here has a 5.0 liter V8 engine with 296 hp.

Beautifully crafted model of AUTOart. Top finish and beautiful details in the interior. The engine is kept relatively simple, but the original is not much more to see.
The overall impression is very nice and the colors beautifully. Unfortunately AUTOart has taken this version in this color
