The Porsche, type 804 was the successor of the 787 used in the formula 2, of whose technology some was taken over. However, it was only used for the racing season 1962, after which Porsche retired from the Formula 1 Sport for the next 20 years.
The car achieved 2 victories and a few points in this season.
Technology:
Engine: 1.5 liter capacity, 8 cylinders, 180 hp performance, top speed 270 km / h.
4 Weber double gasifier, weight 455 Kg, tank capacity 150 liters
The model:
Superbly designed model from AUTOart from the signature series. A miniature has been produced from almost 500 individual parts, which can easily be fitted with models from CMC. Even the smallest details are worked out. Only the (real) screws on the body are worth seeing. The motor has a variety of cables, connections and details. The fan is rotatable, the steering is also.
The paintwork is flawless and the overall impression is simply fantastic.
However, the model has a small flaw: the longitudinal links were mounted after the race. Just as the model looks, it now stands in the factory museum of Porsche in Stuttgart.
The model with the starting number 30 and the figure of Dan Gurney in the cockpit is limited to 1'000 pieces.
