The BMW 3.0 CSL (the abbreviation standing for Coupe Sport Lightweight) with the unmistakable attachments was dubbed "Batmobile" due to the large rear wing. For the road version but was no authorization, so that the rear wing was always included in the delivery in the trunk.
In racing, the CSL was but successful.
engine:
6 cylinders with 3153 cc and a power of 206 hp. This reads today not very spectacular, but you should the construction period from 1973 - 1975 look ......
The only in small numbers equipped with a turbocharger variants contributed significantly more horsepower.

BMW Art Car:
Designed by Frank Stella BMW Art Car was the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1976, the start number 41 and driven by Brian Redman and Peter Gregg.

The model:
The BMW Museum commissioned Minichamps with the implementation of the whole Art Car series.
The model has been implemented beautifully, applied the decals perfect. Inside the racing version was designed great. The flocked race seat, the barren interior and inserted additional details such as ventilation pipe and switches are very detailed.
The models of the Art Car series now sell partly to 1000.- Euro. !
