The Ford Escort of the first series were called "dog bones" due to the conspicuous radiator grille.
They were built from November 1967 and presented at the 1968 Brussels Automobile Show. Above all in England the escort was a big success.
The numerous performance-enhancing variants were used in many races.
Motor:
4 cylinders, 1.1 - 2.0 liters displacement, power up to 100 hp.
Special:
Since a larger engine was used mainly in the "RS models", space had to be created in the small engine compartment. This was achieved at the factory with the use of a heavy hammer in the area of the spray wall and the transmission tunnel ....... in other words:
You hit on the surfaces until enough space was to fill the engine ......
The model:
Very nice model of Minichamps. The paintwork is clean and the gap is extremely minimal. Here Minichamps shows once again what you could.
The interior is very Spartan. But this is also true in the original and therefore realistic.
