The Porsche model 906, officially sold as Carrera 6 from the spring of 1966, was a racing coupe with different engine and body versions.
As standard, the car was equipped with a 2 liter 6-cylinder engine that delivered 220 hp. There were also variants with an 8 cylinder engine and 260 HP power.
The model presented here was used by the Porsche factory in 1966 and was driven by the two Swiss Charles Vögele and Joseph (Jo) Siffert. In the 12 hour race of Sebring (USA) the two reached the 6th.
