The Porsche 911 2.4 Targa ..... a classic!
1965 there were the first Porsche with the characteristic "Targa" roof. "Targa" is Italian and means "shield". At the beginning, the middle part of the roof was separated from the tail part. From 1969, the rear part was then fixed and only the middle part could be removed and stowed in the trunk.
Engine:
2.4 liters, 4 cylinder box engine, air-cooled, rear-wheel drive.
Special features:
Between 1972 and 1973, the air-cooled 911 models on the right side of the Targa bracket carried a flap to fill the oil into the engine (the consumption of oil was relatively large for these engines, and so they wanted to facilitate filling) .
However, this obviously led to confusion, because at the filling stations the filler neck for gasoline was confused with this oil flap. And so this flap fell off again from 1973 .....
The model:
Very beautiful model of Schuco. Very clean paint and wonderful details. The interior is excellently reproduced and the engine one of the probably best miniatures in the range 1:18 (with the exception of the company CMC). The trunk under the bonnet should be a bit more loving and detailed, but this does not diminish the excellent overall .
