The Toyota Land Cruiser is a SUV built since 1951. Especially in Africa, Latin America and the Arab world, the car enjoys a reputation for reliability and durability.
The vehicle has been produced in countless variations over time. The Toyota Land Cruiser is one of the first cars that has reached the North Pole (with changes, inter alia, on the chassis and the wheels and on the engine).
From 1960, the J4 type was introduced and produced until 1984. With this model, the Land Cruiser became known from 1977 in Western Europe.
It is available with several wheelbases and body versions. From the short J40, over the middle J43 / J46, the long J45 / J47 as Buschtaxi or pick-up to the J45 station (5-door).
Engine:
There were different engine variants available. Optional 4 or 6 cylinder petrol or diesel engines with outputs between 76 and 135 hp.
special:
All J40 series vehicles can take down the roof and doors.
Especially today, the J40 series is appreciated for its compatibility with General Motors products. For example, GM's six-hole rims and the Chevrolet Small Bloc V8 engines. This allows replacement and improvement of the engines.
Toyota can still supply spare parts for this series today.
The model:
Beautifully designed model of the company Triple9. The paint is impeccable and the overall design is really fine. Although the model can not be used with (more expensive) pieces, e.g. from Minichamps or AUTOart, but the overall look is really good.
But since the model had some "flaws" (lamps mounted diagonally) it was not intended as a "museum piece" for me from the beginning, but it was trying to achieve a realistic pollution and aging.
